Ticketmaster yesterday informed organisers of the boutique event that 1250 tickets have gone astray whilst being delivered to the company’s Manchester office.
It follows an incident last week when roughly the same number of tickets to Live At Loch Lomond disappeared in similar circumstances.
Those who have bought tickets to Belladrum will receive a newly printed pass for the festival, while the missing tickets have been voided. Police and organisers are warning fans not to buy tickets from unauthorised sources.
Joe Gibbs, festival organiser of Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, said: “We advise that customers only purchase tickets from authorised retailers as detailed on our website”.
The missing tickets are Weekend Adult numbers 2001-3000 and 6051–6100 and Saturday Adult numbers 301-500.
Ticketmaster has confirmed that it identified the tickets have gone missing, following an investigation into the recent loss of tickets for the Live at Loch Lomond event last week through the same courier company. Ticketmaster also confirmed that it is working with the Strathclyde Police and the courier company to investigate this latest loss.
Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival takes place on 8-9 August near Beauly in Inverness-shire. This year's headliners are Scouting For Girls and The Waterboys and there will also be performances from Idlewild, The Lemonheads, Sergeant, Cold War Kids, Cage The Elephant, Dreadzone and Jefferson Starship.
The festival welcomes all ages and there is a plethora of non-music entertainment
on offer as well, including cabaret, street theatre, debate and comedy.
Adult weekend tickets cost £80 and
adult Saturday tickets cost £50. Both include parking and camping. As in previous years, tickets for children 12 and
under are free.
