Brighton Live has over 250 bands lined up to perform at over 100 free gigs around the seaside city. The concerts take place
in as many indoor venues as organisers can find, with 30 locations set up for this year.
In the past pubs, clubs,
cafes, theatres, a church and even a library have housed acts, so you could find yourself discovering your favourite new band
almost anywhere.
The week-long event is put together by key Brighton bands, labels, promoters and music industry folk
and last year they pulled together a line-up that included Cat The Dog, I Say Marvin and Peggy Sue and the Pirates.
This
theme for 2008 will focus on African music and fans can also enjoy the Best Of Brighton Love on the Saturday afternoon, which
will showcase the hottest emerging talent.
